Aaron Hensely
Senior Operations Manager
Aaron currently serves as a Senior Operating Manager with direct oversite of multiple golf courses. Originally joining CourseCo in 2000 as the First Assistant Golf Professional at Valley Oaks Golf Course, he was promoted to his first General Manager job in Fresno at Riverside Golf Course in 2005. In 2010, he returned to Valley Oaks as the General Manager and was promoted to his current role in 2020. His responsibilities include oversite of all aspects of operations at his regions’ golf courses.
A Visalia California native, Aaron’s story is truly one of the local kid making his way to the top. Aaron started at Valley Oaks as a cart attendant in 1992 and was working there when CourseCo first took over operations in 2000. During this time and while working full time, Aaron received his BA in Psychology and then his Juris Doctor from California Southern University. From there, his career continued to grow at CourseCo as he was promoted into roles of greater responsibility.
His professional accomplishments include receiving CourseCo’s award for the General Manager of the Year in 2008. In addition to multiple assignments supporting projects at other CourseCo properties, Aaron played a key role in the conversion of Valley Oaks from a management agreement to a long-term lease benefiting both the City of Visalia and the golf course itself. Showing his commitment to one of CourseCo’s Four Core Values of Community Inclusion, Aaron first envisioned, then planned and executed Valley Oaks becoming the first golf course in the country to receive the designation as a Certified Autism Center.
Aaron still resides in his hometown of Visalia with his wife Michelle where they both enjoy spending as much time as possible with their three grandchildren. Additionally, Aaron is a decorated amateur golfer competing in multiple events throughout California each year.
